Terms & Conditions: One-on-One In-Person Training
By registering with FLORAL TRAINING for a in-person attendance flower class or course, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
TERMINOLOGY
We will often refer to you, the student as: he/she, they/them, you/your, student/participant/attendant/attendee/delegate, etc.
We will often refer to Floral Training as: Us/we, our/ourselves, me/my/I/we, trainer/educator/teacher, Tangerine, with Tangerine, Floral Training with Tangerine etc.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content for this courses have been developed by ourselves and is our intellectual property.

Our course/class/workshop content as well as any other content on our website, training material (printed or digital), presentation slides, content may NOT be distributed to others or sold to others or given away to others, or presented as their own or your own. This also means you may not use this course information as if it is your own. Distribution or selling of our content will lead to legal action against all individuals and / or companies involved. Content may not be scanned or photocopied without permission from the owner(s). You may not share this content with any individual or company.
GENERAL
Only where classes are 3 days or longer or specifically stated so, will a certificate of attendance be issued upon successful completion of the class by the individual attending and where this individual attended all the days of that particular course in full.
You agree to attend and participate in the class at the event address, date and time.
You agree that you understand what type of course you are signing up for.
We can only commence with arrangements upon receipt of payment. Without payment we can not proceed to make the venue & catering arrangements, place our wholesale flower orders or prepare any course content for you.
We also reserve the right to make alterations to the structure of the course you booked, to optimise the flow of the course or for other operational reasons. In such a case, the same modules agreed upon will still be covered, but the order may be different.
All training is subject to our availability: Should you fail to book our services or request training during a time that we are already engaged in other training or events, we will not be able to render the service until such time that we are available.
COURSE LOCATION
This is an in-person course, not an online course. You are required to travel to the venue every day at your own cost and to attend in person at the venue booked for your one-on-one course.
Once we have your payment, we will immediately commence to source the right venue for your course and will communicate the address to you in writing.
Unless otherwise agreed, training runs from 09:00AM till 17:00PM daily.
Courses and course fees are subject to change should the dates changes as the course fee quoted to you is based on a specific date and flower prices around those dates.
All training is subject to our availability.
PAYMENT
Payment reserves our availability for your course – no payment will result in no service.
Please pay on time to allow us time to book the venue, arrange catering, place wholesale flower orders, procure all the supplies for your one-on-one course.
Our preferred method of payment is via Payfast online. Payfast is a secure and safe way to pay online. We never see your banking or card details as the payment is handled through payfast. Payfast accepts instant EFT, Visa and Master Cards as well as some debit cards.
Paying off your course fee: We are not a credit approved institute and can not offer you credit, therefore all course fees must be paid before any service can commence. Should you need to take a loan for your course, we can recommend RCS as Payfast accepts RCS Group Store Cards for payment (or you might already have credit through one of the RCS Group Store Cards – see below – use that card to make payment).

COURSE POSTPONEMENT
Postponement by us: Should circumstances arise that result in us postponing the course/class ,we will offer the same course/class at a new future date. No no refunds will be given. There will be no course fee changes as long as the course takes place within 4 months. Should the course new date be pushed beyond 4 months you may be liable for a small course fee increase subject to flower price fluctuations. Please note that a postponed course is not a cancelled course – see below for cancelled courses.
Postponement by student: Should circumstances arise that result in you (the student) postponing the course/class, we will allow such a postponement as long as you have notified us well in advance. We do not allow course postponement requests in the 20 days prior to the course start date. Any postponement requests within the 20 days prior to the course start date will be seen as a course cancellation as we have already paid the bulk of your course fees on flower orders, venue and catering fees. We may not be able to recover such costs in the event that the date of the course is moved.
In the case you request a postponement, we will offer the same course/class at a new future date – no refunds will be given. Please note that a postponed course is not a cancelled course – see below for cancelled courses.
We may need to review the course fees depending on the venue changes, venue charges or penalties we have had to pay, flowers already ordered. A flat rate course postponement penalty of R 1500 will be due and this is to cover our admin costs for re-arranging the course.
All training is subject to our availability: Should you need to postpone the training, a new date are subject to our availability and must be agreed upon as soon as possible.
OUR CANCELLATION POLICY
Bookings with no payment, will automatically be cancelled if payment is not received on the day it is due.
Course fees are non-refundable and should you cancel your booking, the course fees already paid will be your course cancellation fee and will not be refunded.
No show: In the event where you have paid in full and you did not arrive for the course, that will be accepted as a cancellation and there will be no refund. The full course fee paid will be your cancellation fee.
Course/class cancellation by Organisers: We reserves the right to cancel a course should we not be able to provide the service. In such a case you will be refunded 100% into the bank account of your choosing. Such refund will take place on the first Friday of the month.
PHOTO & VIDEO RELEASE
The participant consent that Floral Training with Tangerine has full and unrestricted publishing and user rights for any photographs (digital or print) and videos taken during the class/course by all participants as well as photos taken by employees/contractors/participants in which the participant’s image or any of my materials or art, either brought in or created/generated at the course, appears.
We will allow limited photo’s to be taken by participants as long as such photo’s are not holding up the class or disrupt the class. For Video see below.
VIDEO BY PARTICIPANTS
No videos may be taken during our flower classes by students/participants. This is not negotiable. Should a participant/course attendee be found creating video of our courses they will be asked to leave on the spot and no refund will be issued as the terms are clear.
RIGHT OF ADMISSION
Right of admission is reserved. We will not tolerate any squabbling, rude, offensive or otherwise unacceptable behaviour towards the facilitators, trainers, venue owners, staff or other attendees. You are entitled to a safe, stress free and non-judgement environment and so are we as well as other providers. Therefore we reserve the right to not accept bookings or to cancel bookings from people that are rude or offensive towards us or the services we are offering – there will be no refund.
If you are asked leave because of right of admission described above, there will be no refund.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
In the event of performance being effected or delayed by strikes. riots, lock outs, trade deputes, weather, epidemics, pandemics, major acts of God or any other cause not within the control of Floral Training by Tangerine or the venue hired for that specific course, it is agreed that we shall not be held liable for loss of trade or profit or any other losses, as a result of such cause.
Floral Training by Tangerine accepts no responsibility for loss of personal items, nor for personal accidents, injury or death, nor for losses or additional expense due to participant’s attending the flower class/course, while on the premises, entering the premises or leaving the premises or on their way to this flower class/course, or between booking and attending the class/course.
Floral Training with Tangerine, shall under no circumstances, be liable to any participant for indirect, consequential, incidental, punitive, or special damages, including but not limited to lost profits, even if it has been apprised of the likelihood of such damages occurring.
CATERING, FOOD AND REFRESHMENTS
We enjoy food and as such we have catering for snacks, lunch, tea & coffee, refreshments. You won’t go hungry! But there are some rules – these are the rules of the venue we hire:
Food and refreshments may not be taken home after the class/course.
Our venue does not have Halaal/Kosher kitchens, but these types of meals are ordered in. Please select your dietary requirements when booking and note the surcharges where applicable.
TOOLS, SUPPLIES AND FRESH FLOWER STOCK
Tools: Tools will be supplied for your use during the course, but these tools remain the property of Floral Training, please return them after use. Please use the tools only for their intended purpose.
Some courses will include a basic tools kit. The toolkit will only be yours to take home on the last day of the course.
Supplies: All supplies needed to complete the practical is included in the course price. Any surplus or remaining supplies after the course remains the property of Floral Training with Tangerine and may not be taken home by students.
Fresh flower stock: We supply you with all fresh flower and foliage stock. Please note that unless quoted for specifically, the flowers included in the course will be up to our discretion. If you want to work in a specific colour palette and with specific flowers, then kindly contact us immediately now to request a quotation for such.
YOUR FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS
You will be making flower arrangements during the course/class and these will be yours to take home at the end of the class/course. If your course is more than a day long, then you will only be able to take your creations home at the end of the last day of the course.
CHILDREN
No children will be allowed at this course as the class environment, tools used, presentation style and class content are not suitable for children. Children may not accompany parents to the class/course.
SMOKING
The venue is non-smoking. If you are a smoker, please enquire about the area designated for smoking.
Please only visit the smoking area during the breaks to avoid class disruptions.
EXCLUSIONS
Where certain items are included/excluded from the course price, these items will be noted under the specific class/course.
- Travel & transport is always excluded.
- Accommodation is always excluded.
PRIVACY POLICY
We take your right, to keep the information you share with us private, very seriously! We will not share or sell or share your contact details or any other details we have collect from you during your interactions with us via sign-up forms, booking forms, registration forms, review forms, or any other means or methods.
COVID-19 & OTHER ILLNESS POLICY
We follow all COVID-19 requirements and guidelines and as a double layer of safety, the venues we hire are also fully COVID-19 compliant.
Delegates hereby acknowledge that they will take the necessary self care measures to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Students last minute cancellations due to COVID-19 or any other pandemic or endemic or standard /acute/normal/chronic/terminal illness, please check our cancellations section above – we have a no refund policy with no exceptions. We will not be held liable for any losses as per our limitation of liability clause above.
Should a future pandemic lockdown situation arise for a booked course date the course will be postponed / moved to another date – check the course postponement clause above to see the procedure for course postponements vs course cancellations.
LEGAL DISPUTES
The Terms & Conditions above are binding and we will not entertain any disputes. Should you for any reason want to enter into a legal dispute with Floral Training, such dispute will be for your own account and you/the student will also be held liable for our legal fees we incur and we will also reserve the right to claim from you for our time invested in such a dispute.
